The Department of Criminal Justice, Philosophy, and Political Science (CJPPS) at Chicago
State University is home to a student led organization group entitled The Pre Law Society for students who possess a desire to pursue a career in law. The Pre Law Society
hosts several events for students including the following:
- Justice & Policy Outreach Activities, Symposia, and Presentations
- Law School Visits and Application Preparation
- Mentoring Law Professionals
- LSAT Preparation and Assistance
- Linkages to Scholarships and Resources
- Law Related Learning Courses, Internships and Experiential Learning Opportunities,
including Moot Court and Mock Court

Law School 3+3 Accelerated Program with UIC and Loyola
海角社区鈥檚 3+ 3 Accelerated Law Program allows qualified students in any major to enroll in Law School after their junior
year. This new partnership between 海角社区 and the Loyola University
Chicago and University of Illinois Chicago will allow participants in any major to
receive a Bachelor鈥檚 degree from 海角社区 after completing their senior year as a first-year
law student and then obtain their law degree after completing their second and third
year of law school. This accelerated program:
- Puts graduates in the workforce earlier!
- Helps save one year of undergraduate tuition and fees
Interested students will need to work closely with an academic advisor to develop
a three-year schedule that ensures they will meet the following requirements:
- Complete all 海角社区 General Education and Major courses with a 3.4 GPA.
- Take the by January in their junior year before applying to Law School.
- Complete an application to the and/or early in the Spring Semester of their junior year.
- Complete a and scholarship applications in their junior year to identify financial aid and scholarship
availability for all possible options (including 海角社区, Loyola University Chicago and/or
UIC law schools).
